63. Barcelona demonstration

The Open Top Bust Turistic suggested exploring Plaça Sant Jaume in the Barri Gotic. Facing the place are two buildings of note: the Renaissance Generalitat (Catalunya Regional Government) and Ajuntament (Town Hall). They said "And you may even see a demonstration in progress".

Apparently there's an almost cpnstant procession of demonstrations. The day we went past it was the turn frirstly of the Bombers de Barcelona (firemen. They made a huge noise, let of smoke bombs, banged drums, danced a conga, and exited stage right.

Then the next demo came along; far more sedate (public servants?) - but they did bring a noise machine as well!

I've read that Barcelona has more protest marches than any city in Spain. They are always peaceful, though.
